Marina Caneve

Based in The Netherlands and in Italy. 
She also spent couple of years between France and Switzerland.

Marina Caneve (1988) is a visual artist focusing on photography with an interdisciplinary approach. Caneve graduated from the IUAV – University of Architecture in Venice (2013) and from the KABK – Royal Academy of Arts, Den Haag (2017).

Caneve’s work has been exhibited internationally at institutions such as Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (Venice, 2017 and 2013) La Biennale di Venezia (Venice, 2016), Matèria gallery (Rome, 2016), ALT.+1000 (Switzerland, 2015), Fondazione Benetton (Treviso, 2014), Savignano Immagini Festival (Savignano, 2014).

Her dummy “Are they Rocks or Clouds?” has been nominated for the Unseen Dummy Award and La Fàbrica – Photo London Book Dummy award and shown in Amsterdam, London and Madrid.
With her project “Bridges are Beautiful” she has been nominated for a residency at Docking Station / Amsterdam (spring 2018).

She is co-founder of CALAMITA/Á, a research platform focusing on the topics of catastrophes, changes, memories and politics. CALAMITA/Á has born researching the Vajont story (1963) and it involves a group of international artists. In 2016 she curated the publication “The Walking Mountain”/CALAMITA/Á.
